FanExpo 2007, or how Mark rescued 3 damsels in distress.
All right, FanExpo '07 is over. Now this, this was an adventure. I had an artist's table for the first time since 2004 and I enjoyed it a great deal. I lost a lot of money in the end (only made around $190, when I was looking to make around $400), but that oddly doesn't bother me in the least. Thing is, I had a great experience. I was seated between two of the BRP vets, Elyse and Chibi, along with the Scuzzers and Chainmail Marc. Between the random dancing, music, chatting people up, and general buzzing of the entire place, I felt very, very alive and "in place".
What's more, there was a minimum of drama. No one started any situations, no one slept with people they shouldn't have, and everyone got taken care of in the end. There were a few minor altercations here and there, but nothing that carried. I am quite pleased.
Now, I should probably explain the title of this post:
Three of my female friends had varying issues. Two were alcohol-related, one was a fainting spell. With the help of Dylan, Dante, and Layna in two of the three cases, and then on my own in the third, three damsels in distress were rescued. I am quite happy with that.
There was also a spin-the-bottle game on Saturday night which made me laugh. As an observer, I saw God forsake two friends of mine eight times in a row. And I mean foresake. Deeply amused by that.
In the end I've earned a richer experience, gotten back around $190, and I now am the proud owner of a hand-made Jack Frost plushie. Thankies E-chan! <3 <3 <3
Off to bed for me. Night!
