So I found out just recently that apparently the "Gay Games" exist as an alternative Olympics. That's right folks, being gay has so much to do with athletics that you must now be gay to enter their games.

Whether that's actually true or not -- needing to be gay -- is assumption on my part. But the fact remains that for some reason, we have athletic competitions between homosexuals based around being homosexual. Get your mind out of the gutter, right now, you silly fangirl you.

I hate that. In fact, I'm dead opposed to there being a 'Gay Games'. Not because it's somehow offensive that gay people would have their own 'games', but that our society is actually in favour of this self-segregation. Did we all miss the memo of common sense that described self-aggrandisment and segregation as BAD THINGS? apparently some members of the gay community (or its supporters) did.

Stop it already. Being gay has nothing to do with athletics. I can understand gay bars (common sexual interest), I can understand gay communities (common sexual orientation which branches out into fashion, accessories, etc), and I can understand a gay section in romance shelving at Chapters. But when we start having gay games, gay schools... It's out of control. I don't want my kids growing up thinking that being gay is somehow either glorious or weird. I want them to view other people by who they are, not their sexual orientation. Please, someone speak out against this with me. I don't hate gay people or have anything against them, but athletics? This is stupid.

I vote we bring back white people only washrooms. Those silly black people should learn that urinating and defecating has a lot to do with your race.
